Thrifted chopping board

At the weekend I finally got round to cleaning up the chopping board I bought a few weeks ago. It took a lot of scrubbing with hot water and vinegar and then sanding down as there were some pretty deep cuts and scratches in the wood. It was well worth the effort however, the grain in the wood has come up really nicely and it was so much more satisfying than going out and buying a brand new chopping board.

So nice chopping board, i can't resist these. I wanted one too from fleamarket, but they were asking too high price (and didn't lower it..) from it, so i needed to leave the wooden pig there!

And this seems perfect to chop saucisson et fromage, mmmm. I'm hungry now :)

That really turned out nice. I have a couple around here that I thrifted, waiting to be sanded down as well. Maybe this will inspire me!

Oh Friend, I love your OLD choppy boards! The stories it could tell us would be so magical. I also love your life, just the idea of renovating a house in Italy makes me giddy.
I look forward to following along with you through all your ups & downs!
Ciao,
Susie

ooh good work! Love the chopping board and the snacks look super tasty! Have you been sticking to your pledge? Well done you. I've been doing it too tho unofficially - so far the only new things I've bought in about a month were a t-shirt, a tube of paint, a fineliner pen and a pair of scissors - all excusable except the t-shirt no? I've even stopped drinking take away coffees and bottled water! When can I come visit please?x
