We spent a strenuous morning today knocking plaster off the walls in the house. It's hard work but I loved doing something physical - I'm fed up of all the talking and planning.
We uncovered some lovely hidden features under the plaster like this old chimney breast...........
and some not so lovely features like this big crack in the wall!
Here's me in action. That dust gets everywhere in spite of the dust protection gear!
Hope you had a productive weekend.

It is like an archeology dig! Swinging the pick with your suit on...can't be too careful now.
HI Sarah, Brava, how exciting. Loved your post, makes me want to get started on renovating. Love the photos of the place, it looks amazing and you at work. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful journey with all of us. Carla

It does look like lots of hard work but the end result will be so worth the effort. When it's all finished it's lovely to stand back and be proud of what you've accomplished. The stone work looks beautiful. xo
Hi Sarah,

I hope to see the pics when it is finished

I could do with one of those dust suits! My pick is a lot smaller then yours...yours looks so heavy!!!!! I know what you mean though that you enjoy finally doing some work. I love chipping away at the walls and like you finding hidden things!
Love the outfit :)
Wow! Look at you! Bet it feels like you're making progress now. I hope you find many more hidden gems (and no cracks!) x
Sounds like you did a lot of hard work - the end result is going to be wonderful!!
Hi Sarah, just found you through Leanne at "From Australia to Italy" I am so excited to find you both, we have bought a house in Veravo, Liguria and am itching to get started on it. We also renovated a house in Piemont. I can so relate to hidden treasures and hope you find many more in your home.
