Garden Inspiration

The one part of our new home we haven't given much attention to is our garden. We don't have a big space and I can't decide really what to do with it. Currently it looks untidy and is full of kids things, a large paddling pool, a playhouse, a sandpit. My father-in-law is making us a table but until it's ready we don't have anywhere to sit or eat outside. For me, coming from Scotland where al fresco dining is a rarity due to weather or midgies, there is no greater luxury than being able to eat outside. Even just taking my morning coffee into the garden on a sunny day is such a treat. At the moment I have to carry chairs out from the kitchen which is annoying. I can't make up my mind though what kind of garden furniture I'd like. I thought I'd put together some of the pictures I've collected for inspiration in the hopes that I can get a clearer idea of how I'd like our garden to eventually look.

I'd like to create a pergola to provide a shady spot in summer. Something like this.......

I'd love to have a relaxed summer's lunch at either of these pretty tables...........

We don't have much space at the moment for planting a vegetable plot but perhaps a planter like this for growing herbs............

And what I'd really love would be to have a pretty chicken coop like this..............

Have you any ideas for creating perfect gardens in small spaces?

Those are lovely ideas.

We rarely sit outside now because of tiger mosquitoes which are vicious little things and active all day. You need strong chemicals to keep them away which is important because they carry chikungunya and dengue fever! They are ruining our summers.

Hey love the pergola idea, our friends in villa minozzo had something very similar with grape vines growing over it. It was gorgeous

Sarah - the mosquitoes are dreadful here too. I think the first few cases of chikungunya have been reported in Italy but it doesn't seem to be something anyone is worrying about yet. I had dengue fever once when I was living in Guadeloupe - not nice at all!

That chicken coop is so lovely!! I especially like the top image you've shared. What about a small raised planter box to grow some vegetables? Would you have room for that? Ours isn't big, but my girls love helping tend to it.

Hello, My name is Faith am from USA ..... and I am very happy for posting on this blog on how a great spell caster helped me bring back the love of my life. I know there are lots of women like me out there who have done so much just to have back their Husband, I am here to tell you all to search no further because the answer is right here. I sincerely believe if there are up to five spell casters like DOCTOR WTAHA this world would be a better place, I contacted him and shared my problems to him and he gave me the terms and conditions, which I obeyed, it only took 3 days for my husband to come back home begging for my forgiveness. To cut the long story short. I am now living happily with my husband. Thanks to Dr TWAHA . Contact him now on email: drlregbeyen10000@gmail.com .
